Mexi is our love letter to the rich tapestry of Mexican culture and a celebration of its food, drink, and history of hospitality.

Located off of Bedford Avenue in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, Mexi serves contemporary takes on classic Mexican dishes and is influenced as much by the Mexican-American experience as traditional Mexican cuisine.

I was asked to build recipes, create a recipe book, and train the chef on-site. Build inventory, set up the kitchen, and come up with ideas on how to equip the kitchen in a professional way. Make sure the short order line is efficient and able to handle the workload. Station set up and created the prep. lists for the morning prep cook and for the line cooks at service.

Did Extensive Research on the local dining scene to understand better the competition and target audience, in NYC and Brooklyn.

Developed a menu that highlighted the flavors of Mexican cuisine. Offering a variety of dishes to cater to different tastes, including vegetarian and vegan options.

Suggested and purchased high-quality kitchen equipment and supplies to ensure efficient food preparation.

Conducted a soft opening to test the restaurant's operations and gather customer feedback.

Use this feedback to make improvements before the grand opening.
